Last month over 500 students, parents, educators and community leaders met in Los Angeles, CA to help build a national movement for educational justice. The conference was organized by the American Federation of Teachers, the National Opportunity to Learn Campaign, the National Education Association, Communities for Public Education Reform and numerous local, national, community and labor leaders. Together, we endorsed The Principles That Unite Us as our common vision for public education.

The conference was one step in building a movement. The next step is the National Day of Action. To maximize the strategic impact, the National Strategy Committee is strongly recommending that we hold the Day of Action on one day. Will you join us?
