Can we Count You In to Hit the Streets in Michigan and Fight Back for Worker and Community Rights?
On the afternoon of Saturday, July 28, AFT Convention delegates, local unionists and community activists will be knocking on doors and talking with voters for about one or two hours to build support for November's ballot initiative that would restore bargaining rights and ensure workplace fairness. Be sure to make participation in this solidarity event one of the enduring memories you take home from this convention.
At the conclusion of the business session on Saturday, July 28, convention delegates will board buses for targeted suburban and city precincts. We will be knocking on doors and talking with voters for approximately one or two hours, then be transported by bus to the Detroit Institute of Arts in time for the Delegate Reception.
